quiet location different to what was on offer in restaurant & street views. and next to the castlewellan park, hillyard house, and coffee shops. great to have an in-house restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

Had a lovely stay with my family members, we spent 2 nights here, everything was exceptional. I booked double room that was complete with spacious bathroom, storage space, a great view as advertised.

the central position made it easy to visit the fine peace maze just over a kilometer away, and a few steps led me to great local cafes that enhanced my stay with their cozy atmospheres.

We enjoyed our family stay, especially the tasteful decor and comfortable family room. The indoor bar offered creative cocktails. I advise confirming your room's temperature settings beforehand and opting for a breakfast alternative nearby to ensure a well-rounded experience.

The cozy bar had a chill vibe with local craft beers and quirky decor. The proximity to the Forest Park was fantastic for outdoor adventures.

I absolutely loved the delicious locally sourced meals and the cozy room with a huge bathroom. The bonus of a wonderful picnic hamper for our day out!

Hillyard house is a lovely hotel with a nice bar and restaurant. The room was super clean, and the location is perfect. The staff here are really good. They let us check in early, and they quickly moved us to a quieter room when we needed it. We enjoyed a awesome breakfast and a lovely dinner .

central stay near beautiful forest park and charming lake

I stayed here for three nights and appreciated the walkable proximity to castlewellan forest park, just at my doorstep, and the lovely castlewellan lake, a pleasant stroll away. The room was comfortable and clean, perfect for my weekend adventures.

The decor throughout is clearly put together with style, infusing warmth into the space. The proximity to the forest park offers an accessible outdoor escape to explore nature.

Check-in was a hassle. Arriving early didn't help as the room wasn't ready until past the scheduled time. The air conditioning unit outside the window made for a noisy night, coupled with the heating that refused to properly turn off, leaving us in a sauna. Breakfast was far from enticing, with an avocado toast resembling slick guacamole and pancakes served raw. On top of that, finding room keys carelessly left on the windowsill seemed unprofessional, reflecting a lack of attention to detail in other areas.
